Discover ArchiCAD Workshops (KL and Singapore) Nov / Dec 2009 We are encouraged by the responses from those who attended our recent Discover ArchiCAD workshop sessions. We have so far conducted four of the single day workshops which started in November and helped introduce the power of ArchiCAD to quite a number of attendees. We had a diverse mix of attendees from architects, interior designers, engineers, contractors, public housing personnel, students and many more. They all got a chance to 'test-drive' ArchiCAD and to experience the benefits of a true purpose built application for Architecture. Feedbacks from attendees included the ease of 3D modeling in ArchiCAD and equating it to a popular online generic 3D modeler. In addition, many were impressed with ArchiCAD's BIM capabilities from automatic generation of door/window schedules to the calculation of quantities, which happen to be a favourite amongst the contractors. Most were surprised that such a powerful 3D modeler had equally powerful 2D documentation capabilities for production needs. A “all-in-one” solution as one attendee commented. For those who were not able to make it, you will be pleased to hear that we plan to continue conducting these single day workshops for the foreseeable future. We are now finalising our latest schedules but please feel free to contact us directly if you are interested to know more. Send your enquires to :

ArchiCAD 13 Launch and Technology updates in Kuching, Malaysia |
|
Consoft Technologies was once again proud to host a 2 day BIM event held in PAM Kuching Chapter, Sarawak. Simply entitled ArchiCAD Roadshow 2009, the agenda was anything but. This year, we decided to not settle for just a day's information packed seminar but also to include a free hands-on tips and tricks workshop for our loyal ArchiCAD users. It also gave some potential new users a chance to test-drive a leading BIM solution like ArchiCAD. Needless to say, we had an enthusiastic response. On day one, our guests were presented with a series of presentations that covered the ongoing commitment and plans of Graphisoft in developing great BIM solutions. This followed by the much anticipated first public demonstration of ArchiCAD 13 in Malaysia. The new and enhanced features of this latest release generated tremendous interest and multiple questions were fielded. In addition, demonstrations of VBE, EcoDesigner and MEP were conducted to establish the well-rounded Graphisoft’s BIM solutions to assist architects in meeting new and demanding design challenges. Finally, a showcase of real-world BIM projects using ArchiCAD were presented to highlight the unique benefits and advantages of implementing BIM. Day two brought continued excitement for our ArchiCAD workshop. The attendees were shown a combination of simple to intermediate tips and tricks on practical ArchiCAD usage and tried it out themselves to help reinforce their understanding. Contacts were exchanged at the end of the session to allow continued communications on all matters related to ArchiCAD before the Consoft team had to make a dash to the airport for the flight back to KL.
